” پسرم دخترم، هرگاه با دوستانت به گردش می روی، سعی کن ساعت ۸ خانه باشی.“
پس از آن نیز می توانند دلایل خود را برای او شرح دهند. گفتن جمله ی “دیر به خانه برنگرد”،
پیامی روشن برای نوجوان در بر ندارد چون مشخص نمی کند که منظور از “دیر”، چه ساعتی است.
سعی کنید برای بیان قوانین و خواستهایتان از جمله های مثبت و کوتاه استفاده کنید.
” این کار را انجام بده،” بسیار بهتر از “این کار را انجام نده است.”

البته، این موضوع به این معنی نیست که پدر و مادر، بی چون و چرا، از خواست فرزندشان پیروی کنند.

اما شایسته است پیش از اجرای هر قانون از نظر او نیز آگاه شوند.

اگر کودکان بدانند که هر قانون به چه دلیلی وضع شده است بی گمان آن را رعایت می کنند.

لازم است کودکان از پیش، درباره ی هر قانون، آگاهی کافی داشته باشند برای نمونه، قانون “تلویزیون ممنوع” را به یکباره و به صورت ناگهانی وضع و اجرا نکنید. اگر کودکی پس از دیدن فیلمی خشن. برادر کوچک خودش را هل داده است.

نخست درباره ی رفتار ناشایست او با برادرش صحبت کنید .
