تاثیر بازی های ویدیوئی

پیشینه ی تکوین رسانه ها سرشار از نمونه های سرگرمی های جدیدی است که عرضه می شود، محبوبیت گسترده ای به دست می آورد و به دلیل جذابیت فراوان برای بسیاری از افراد، نگرانی همگانی را برمی انگیزد. بازی های ویدیویی نیز از این قاعده جداشدنی نیست.نگرانی همگانی از تاثیرهای زیان بار احتمالی این بازی ها، همگام با افزایش سریع محبوبیت آنها فزونی گرفت. با این همه، تا سالیانی چند، پژوهش های قابل توجهی درباره ی شناخت اثرهای احتمالی این بازی ها بر ذهن جوانان انجام نگرفت. با این همه، تا سالیانی چند، پژوهش های قابل توجهی درباره ی شناخت اثرهای احتمالی این بازی ها بر ذهن جوانان انجام نگرفت، نخستین پژوهشها بر تشخیص همبسته های اجتماعی و شخصیتی انجام بازی های ویدیوئی تمرکز یافته بود. نگرانی از بازی های رایانه ای و ویدیوئی را می توان بازتاب نگرانی گسترده تر جامعه دانست که درباره ی رواج و کاربری روزافزون فناوری اطلاع رسانی در مشاغل و حرفه های گوناگون ابراز می شود. گاه و بیگاه، داستان هایی هراس انگیز در مطبوعات، نمایانگر اثرهای جانبی کاربری رایانه بوده است. این اثر در کشورهای مختلف، شکل های گوناگونی به خود می گیرد. در استراليا کاربران رایانه به وضعیتی دچار شده اند که تنوسینوویتیس نام گرفته است (فرگوسون”، ۱۹۸۷) در آمریکا، پرتو افشانی صفحه ی نمایشگر دستگاه ویدیو را علت پیدایش آب مروارید دانسته اند (زارات، ۱۹۸۴). در کشورهای اسکاندیناوی، بروز جوش صورت مشاهده شده (تیون ، ۱۹۸۴)، حال آنکه، در اروپا نگرانی هایی از شکل گیری آسیبهای اندامی ابراز شده است (لافتوس و لافتوس ۱، ۱۹۸۳)
اثرهای روانشناختی بالقوه نامحسوس تر و از این رو، زیان بارتر از آسیب های محسوس ناشی از کاربری مداوم رایانه است. اضطرابها و واکنش های مرتبط با فشار روانی در برابر کاربرد این فناوری نوین سبب ابداع واژه ی “تازه ای سایبرفوبيا” ، شده است واینبرگ ، (۱۹۷۱). این وضعیت را علت پیدایش دگرگونی هایی همچون تپش قلب، احساس تهوع، اسهال و عرق کردن دانسته است. 
به نظر می رسد نگرانی های عمومی بر این باور تأکید داشته باشد که فناوری نوین رایانه ها، مردم را از آزادی و آسایش محروم ساخته است. تیمبل بی، (۱۹۷۹) عامل بالقوه ی ایجاد استبداد تغییر ناپذیر و ستمی را که پیامد تمرکز قدرت نزد عدهای اندک است، ملاحظه کرد و نمونه هایی از اطلاعات پلیس را شاهد آورد. برخی از پژوهشگران یادآور شده اند تولید کنندگانی که برنامه هایشان چنین وضعیتی را پدید آورده است، از تجهیزات کافی برای تحقق کامل کارهایشان بهره مند نبوده اند و آنان را افرادی بی نصیب از علایق بشردوستی به شمار آورده که تنها به توانایی های رایانه و نه اثرهای اجتماعی ناشی از کاربری آن پرداخته اند.
رایانه ها به ایجاد اثرهای روان شناختی و اجتماعی ناخوشایندی نیز متهم شده اند. مانند حذف مهارت فردی از کار ، تنش های شغلی زاید، بیکاری کارگران، گوشه گیری از اجتماع و احساس درماندگی (مندلسون ۱۹۸۳۳)، و بیگانگی (اسپراندل ، ۱۹۸۳)، افزون بر این، ادعا شده که کاربری رایانه شخصیت را دگرگون می کند، یعنی جمع گرایی را به جمع گریزی تغییر میدهد و رابطه ها را از میان می برد (سیمونزه, ۱۹۸۵). در حالی که بسیاری از این نگرانی ها به بازی های رایانه ای و ویدیویی منحصر نمی شود، در بسیاری از موارد، به ویژه در فراورده های رایانه ای که گاه و بی گاه با هدف سرگرمی و کاربردهای رایانه در آن طراحی شده، همراه است.

آیا ممکن است بازی های ویدیوئی اعتیاد آور باشد؟
یکی از نگرانی های عمده درباره ی بازی های ویدیوئی امکان اعتیادآوری آنهاست . کاربرد واژه ی اعتیاده، برای این گونه بازی ها با مخالفت برخی از صاحب نظران روبرو شده است. اعتیاد به بازی های ویدیوئی شاید همانند دیگر رفتارهای اعتیاداور باشد. بازیکنان احساس می کنند پیوسته به انجام این بازی ها وادار می شوند و بنابراین، ممکن است علاقه ی کمتری در دیگر فعالیتها از خود نشان دهند. اگر بکوشند برای مدتی بازی را کنار بگذارند، نشانه های گوشه گیری را نمایان می سازند (سوپر و میلر ۱۰، ۱۹۸۳). در مواردی دیگر، انجام افراطی این گونه بازی ها را گونه ای وابستگی به شمار آورده اند، که بدین ترتیب انجام  بازی ها شاید سرگرمی عمده ای نباشد، ولی آشکارا نقش های اجتماعی و روان شناختی ویژه ای  در زندگی بازیکنان دارد.
نگرانی دیگر درباره ی بازی های ویدیوئی این است که اگر جوانان به آنها عادت کنند، پول هنگفتی را صرف بازی خواهند کرد و این برای کسانی که پیوسته به کلوپها می روند مشکل خاصی است.
بررسی بروکس (۱۹۸۳) درباره ي جوانان ساکن جنوب کالیفرنیا نشان داد هشتاد درصد پاسخگویان، هفته ای پنج دلار یا کمتر یعنی هزینه ی یک بار رفتن به سینما را مصرف این بازی ها می کنند. تنها هفت درصد آنان مبلغی برابر با هزینه ی ناهار خود را برای این کار می پرداختند، در حقيقت چون بازیکنان دایمی مهارت بیشتری داشتند. پول کمتری را در مقایسه با بزرگسالان تازه کار خرج می کردند. در دنیای بازی های ویدیوئی کلوپی، پاداش مهارت ، زمان بیشتر برای ادامه ی بازی است و بازیکن خبره می تواند با یک بار پرداخت هزینه یک ساعت و نیم بازی کند.
شواهد غير مستقيم از یافته هایی چند نشان می دهد برخی از جوانان درمانده ای که به این بازی ها معتاد می شوند، ممکن است به دزدی روی آورند تا بتوانند هزینه ی بازی در کلوپ ها یا خرید سی دی های تازه برای دستگاههای خانگی خود را بپردازند (کلین ۱۱۹۸۴۰۴ کیپرز، ۱۹۹۰ء گریفیتس و هانت، ۱۹۹۳). برخی دیگر ممکن است از غذای خود چشم بپوشند و بهای آن را صرف بازی کنند (مککلره و میرز۱۹۸۴۰۶)، یا به مدرسه بروند و سر از کلوپها در آورند (کیپرزه ۱۹۹۰: گریفیتس و هانت، ۱۹۹۳). نشانه هایی از گوشه گیری، همچون افزایش تحریک پذیری هنگام عدم توانایی پرداخت هزینه ی بازی یافت شده است (گریفیتس و هانت، ۲۱۹۹۳ روتکوسكالا و کارلتون ۱۹۹۴۰۸)
مشکل خشونت
یکی از نگرانی های عمده درباره ی بازی های ویدیوئی، ویژگی آشکار خشونت آمیز بودن بسیاری از آنهاست. نگرانی از تاثیر این بازیها، همگام با نگرانیهای فزاینده ی عمومی از اثرهای خشونت موجود در رسانه ها، با توجه به این حقیقت بوده که انجام آنها فعالیتی تعاملی است و بدین خاطر امکان دارد از دیدگاه روانشناختی فرد را به میزان بیشتری درگیر کند. از این نظر، تأثیر موضوع های خشونت آمیز این بازی ها بر جوانان، در مقایسه با تأثیر رسانه های گروهی سرگرم کننده که پیام هایشان به گونه ای انفعالی دریافت می شود را می توان با تاکید بیشتری ابراز کرد.
برخی از روان شناسان سرشناس آمریکایی، نگرانی آشکار خود را از اثرهای جانبی بازیهای رایانه ای و ویدیوئی دارای موضوع های خشونت آمیز بیان کرده اند. راجرز (۱۹۸۲) از این نگران بود که بازی های رایانه ای و ویدیوئی مردم پسند با محتوای خشونت، به ویژه بازی هایی با موضوع جنگ هسته ای، باعث ناچیز شمردن ترس از جنگ می شود. زیمباردو  عقیده داشت که خشونت ، موضوع مشترک همه ی بازی هاست و میتوان

آنها را به سادگی، طوری برنامه ریزی کرد که رفتارهای همفکرانه و سازنده را در بر گیرد و رواج دهد. به گفته ی لافتوس برخی از بازی هایی که موضوع مثبت دارد، در نخستین سال های دهه ی ۱۹۸۰ وارد بازار شد. بازی هایی محبوبی همچون سوپر ماریو معرف شخصیتی اصلی بود که با دلیری فراوان به دیگران کمک میکرد و یا آنان را از خطر می رهاند. بازی های دیگری مانند فراگر و دانکی کونگ  بازی هایی است در این مدت ساخته شد و محتوایی مثبت نیز دارد.  در بازی فراگر، بازیکن قورباغه ای است که می خواهد از جاده ای شلوغ، تکه ای زمین و رودخانه ای پرآشوب بگذرد. وی برای رسیدن به هدف خود باید ترافیکی سنگین را
را پشت سر گذارد، گرفتار مارهای خطرناک شود، با کنده های درختان برخورد کند و با این حال، به درون رودخانه نیفتد. داستان را پیداشدن خانم قورباغه پیچیده تر می شود، کسی که به ازدواج  شخصیت اصلی یعنی آقای قورباغه در می آید و باید از خطر دور نگه داشته شود. بازی داند کینگ کونگ بود و در آن شخصیت اصلی باید زن جوانی را از  چنگ گوریل قهوه ای بزرگی نجات دهد. در حالی که همه ی این بازی ها محتوایی مثبت دارد، ولی لانتوس و الاقتوس بایستی این حقیقت را می پذیرفتند که بسیاری از بازی های ویدیوئی پرطرفدار و در دسترس آن زمان، محتوایی خشونت آمیز داشت. آنان از این بابت نگران بودند که بیشتر بازی ها، جنگی بود و در آنها افراد بایستی کشته می شدند و برای نمونه بازی مسابقه ی مرگبار را مطرح کردند که در آن بازیکن خودرو سفید رنگی را بر صفحه نمایشگر می راند و با بی رحمی بسیار می کوشد از روی جانداران کوچکی که سعی می کنند از سر راه او دور شوند، عبور کند. در بازی دیگری به نام حمله ی کوسه . کوسه ماهی بزرگی به دنبال چهار غواص است. بازیکن، کوسه ماهی را کنترل میکند. هدف وی حمله به غواصان و کشتن آنان است. این گونه بازی ها محتوایی داشت که هر عقل سلیمی از توجیه آن در میماند (لافتوس و لافتوس، ۱۹۸۳)
اثرهای حاصل از عامل خشونت در بازی های ویدیوئی را نمی توان به آسانی توضیح داد. در حالی که نخستین شواهد نشان میداد کودکانی که به انجام بازی های ویدیوئی خشونت بار همچون مهاجمان فضایی و فاخته می پردازند، رفتارهای تهاجمی بیشتری را در بازی نشان می دهند. ولی شواهدی دیگر نشان داد که بازی های ویدیویی می تواند اثرهای مثبت هم داشته باشد (سیلورتو ويليامسون و کانتر ماین ۱۹۸۳۰) زیان بار ترین جنبه ی خشونت بازی های ویدیوئی این است که به طور طبیعی با یک بازیکن انجام میشود. به نظر می رسد بازیهای خشونت آمیز دو نفره (مانند بازی ویدیوئی مشت زنی) تأثیری تهی از خشونت در برداشته باشد، در حالی که بازی های خشن یک نفری (مانند بازی مهاجمان) ممکن است باعث تحریک هر چه بیشتر خشونت شود. 

یکی از پژوهشهای اولیه نشان می داد که محبوبیت بازی های ویدیویی به این مساله که آنها تا چه اندازه خشونت بار است، بستگی ندارد (گرین فیلد، ۱۹۸۴). به نظر می رسید که عامل مهم میزان فعالیت و حادثه ی موجود در بازیها باشد، نه میزان خشونت آنها. وی عقیده داشت سازندگان می توانستند بدون به خطر انداختن محبوبیت بازی ها، خشونت را به فعالیتهای دیگر تبدیل کنند. در واقع، دلیل های دیگری ثابت کرد کودکان حتی به سبب محتوای خشونت آمیز بازی های ویدیوئی ممکن است به انحراف کشیده شوند. مالون (۱۹۸۱)، نتایج بازی دارت را که برای آموزش کسرها به دانش آموزان دبستانی طراحی شده بود، تجزیه و تحلیل کرد. این بازی با ارائه ی محتوای خشونت آمیز و تخیلی، مورد پسند پسرها قرار گرفت، در حالی که در میان دانش آموزان دختر با محبوبیت کمتری روبرو شد.
آیا بازی های ویدیوئی فقط تأثیر زیانبار دارد؟
پس از سالها پژوهش این موضوع ثابت شده که آموزش و پرورش کودکان، تنها به نوع رسمی آن، یعنی شکل مدرسه ای محدود نمی شود. روش های فراوان دیگری هم وجود دارد که از رهگذر آنها دانش واقعی به کودکان آموخته می شود و بدین سان کودکان مهارت های شناختی گوناگونی را می آموزند (گرین فیلد و چایلدز ۱۹۹۱: گرین فیلد و لیو، ۱۹۸۲؛ گوبرمن و گرین فیلده ۱۹۹۱، راگوفه وليو، ۱۹۸۴؛ اسکرایبنر ۱۰، ۱۹۸۶). رسانه های الکترونیکی منابع بسیار عالی آموزش و پرورش و ابداع رایانه نیز تازه ترین شکل این رسانه هاست. در حالی که برنامه های جدی رایانه ای با هدف های آموزشی پیشرفت کرده، محبوب ترین شکل های کاربری رایانه بیشتر جنبه ی سرگرمی یافته است. مشکل اساسی آن است که آیا بازی های ویدیویی که در اصل برای سرگرمی ساخته شده است، هیچ گونه ارزش آموزشی دارد یا نه. برخی معتقدند که مهارتهای آموزشی مرتبط با بازی های ویدیویی و رایانه ای، جدای از مهارت های آموزشی سنتی مورد نیاز برای رسانه های نوشتاری وجود دارد. در سال های میانی دهه ی 1990 با انجام پژوهش هایی این موضوع به گونه ای مستقیم بررسی شد. نخستین نشانه ها گویای آن است که این مهارت ها شاید به راستی وجود داشته باشد و بیانگر ضرورت مهمی در انجام موثر بازی های ویدیویی باشد.
نقش آموزشی بازی های ویدیوئی
بازی های ویدیوئی شاخه ای از کار با رایانه است. ریز رایانه ها توانمندترین بخش رشته ی دراز فناوری های نوین به شمار میرود که یکی پس از دیگری در سده ی کنونی ابداع شد و می تواند عملکرد تلویزیون ، رادیو و مخابرات را گسترش بخشد. از آغاز دهه ی ۱۹۸۰، رایانه در صنعت، دانش و حتی در محل کار، بی گمان دگرگونی هایی بنیادی پدید آورده است. این گونه دگرگونیها به آموزش و پرورش هم تعمیم یافته  و باعث دگرگونی و بازنگری روش آموزش و پرورش و تعیین خط مشی آینده ی آن شده است.
طرفداران بازی های ویدیوئی اینگونه بازی ها را منبع یادگیری و نیز سرگرمی به شمار آورده اند. به عقیده ی برخی، فعالیتهای موجود در بازی های ویدیوئی میتواند هماهنگی چشم و دست را افزایش دهد و یا مهارتهای ویژه برای تجسم فضایی یا ریاضیات را بیاموزد . کودکانی که این بازی ها را انجام می دهند، می توانند راهبردهای تعمیم یافته تری را به منظور ” یادگیری برای یادگیری در موقعیتهای داستانی بدست آورند “. انجام این گونه بازی ها، ابزاری نیرومند برای رشد و افزایش عزت نفس بازیکنانی است که از نظر اجتماعی دچار اختلال اند و همچنین گونه ای آمادگی برای شناخت دنیای فناوری رایانه به شمار می آید.
