_ از ارائه شفاف اطمینان حاصل نمایید:

عدم شفافیت در تبیین و توضیحات معلمان، شایع ترین علت سردرگمی برای کودکان است. که این امر می تواند آغاز یک مشکل یادگیری باشد.

_ درک و فهم کودک را بررسی کنید:

هنگامی که کودک در حال یادگیری مطلب جدیدی است،بسیار ضروری است که در هر مرحله درک و فهم وی را بررسی نمایید. هنگامی که کودک مطلبی را درک نکرده باشد یا در فهم چیزی مشکل داشته باشد هر چیزی که بعد از آن مطلب ارائه شود برای وی گیج کننده و بی فایده خواهد بود.

_ تمرین هدایت شده:

تنها راهی که کودک در یک مفهوم یا مهارت جدید تسلط پیدا خواهد کرد، این است که شرایطی برای او ایجاد شود تا بتواند دانش خود را بکار گیرد. جهت پیشرفت به سوی استقلال و به منظور درونی کردن حوزه ی جدیدی از یادگیری،کودکان باید در تمرین های بیشتری درگیر باشند.

_ بازخورد و تصحیح خطا:

زمانی که کودکان درگیر تمرین هدایت شده هستند معلم یا معلم خصوصی باید تحسین کلامی به آن ها ارائه دهند: ” آفرین هر خط تمیزتر و مرتب تر می شود، خوش خط نوشته ای” . تحسین کلامی بسیار موثر است زیرا به کودک کمک می کند تا بر آنچه که او به درستی در حال انجام دادن است تمرکز کند.

_ حذف تدریجی حمایت:

به طور قطع هدف بلند مدت این است که از استقلال کامل کودکان در به کارگیری و تعمیم دانش جدید به طور کامل اطمینان حاصل شود. عملکرد یک کودک را فقط تا نقطه ای هدایت کنید که خودش بتواند کنترل را به دست بگیرد.

_ کاربرد و تمرین مستقل:

هنگامی که کودک به طور منطقی نسبت به یک مهارت یا مفهوم جدید اطمینان کسب می کند نیازمند فرصت ها و امکانات فراوان برای به کارگیری مستقل این دانش، بدون هدایت و راهنمایی از سوی معلم می باشد.

_ تجدید نظر:

تدریس موثر همواره تایید کننده ی این واقعیت که افراد تمایل به فراموش کردن چیزهایی دارند که لزوما به کار گرفته نمیشوند و هر روز تمرین نمیشوند. بنابراین برای تدریس موثر تجدید نظرهای مکرر مورد نیاز می باشد.
