کودکانی که دچار این مشکل هستند،  دارای ترس افراطی، غیر منطقی و پایدار نسبت به مدرسه رفتن هستند و هنگام جدایی از والدین و رفتن به مدرسه به شدت در مقابل ترک خانه مقاومت می کنند. ترس مفرط از مدرسه معمولا برای اولین بار در دوره پیش دبستانی، کودکستان یا کلاس اول ظاهر می شود و در کلاس دوم به اوج می رسد، با این حال خودداری از مدرسه رفتن، می تواند در هر سنی رخ دهد. دختران و پسران تقریبا به یک میزان ترس از مدرسه را از خود نشان می دهند. 

دلایل ترس کودکان از مدرسه چیست؟

ترس های مفرط و غیرمعقول از مدرسه معمولا برای اولین بار در دوره پیش دبستانی، کودکستان یا کلاس اول نمایان می شوند و در کلاس دوم به اوج خود می رسند، با این حال رفتار خودداری از رفتن به مدرسه می تواند در هر سنی رخ دهد و معمولا هم پس از یک دوره ماندن در خانه که طی آن کودک بیش از حد معمول، نزد پدر یا مادر خود بوده است ظاهر می شود. واقعیت این است که درمان کودک مدرسه هراس بسیار بااهمیت است و والدین نباید نسبت به آن بی تفاوت باشند، چرا که مدرسه نرفتن تاثیرات بدی بر کودک و خانواده می گذارد. برای مثال موجب اختلافات خانوادگی و به هم ریختن خانواده می شود، مشکلات تحصیلی ایجاد می کند، تعاملات اجتماعی کودک را کم می کند و زمینه ساز بزهکاری، اضطراب و افسردگی می شود و عواقب اقتصادی دارد.

علل مدرسه هراسی

تشخیص این که کودکان به دلایل مختلف از حضور در مدرسه خودداری می ورزند اهمیت بسزایی دارد. بهره هوشی بیشتر این کودکان در حد متوسط یا بالای متوسط نشان می دهد که مشکلات تحصیلی علت بی میلی آنها به مدرسه نیست. گاهی اوقات ترس از مدرسه، از اطلاعات محض از معلم یا دیگران و مقررات خارج از خانه، مقایسه شدن با کودکان ناآشنا و تجربه ترس از شکست ناشی می شود. برخی کودکان به دلیل تمسخر، آزار، تهدید و زورگویی بچه های دیگر و مورد انتقاد قرار گرفتن یا تنبیه شدن توسط معلم از مدرسه می ترسند. برای بسیاری از کودکان ترس از رفتن به مدرسه درواقع دور شدن از والدینشان (اضطراب جدایی) است. اکراه و امتناع از رفتن به مدرسه می تواند به دلایل مختلف باشد. در مواردی هم ترس کودک از این ترس شدید و غیرمنطقی ناشی می شود که تصور می کند در جمع، ارزیابی می شود یا خجالت می کشد، زیرا مجبور است در کلاس درس جواب دهد. در برخی از کودکان مبتلا به مدرسه هراسی، مراسم صبحگاهی استرس زاست و اغلب این کودکان دچار هراس از مکان های بسته هستند. شاید به همین دلیل برای برخی از این کودکان لازم باشد که هر وقت احساس ضعف و سستی می کنند بتوانند کلاس را ترک کنند.

اضطراب جدایی، عامل اساسی در مدرسه هراسی کودکان

ترس های مدرسه ای کلا در 4 مرحله خود را نشان می دهند؛ مرحله اضطراب ناشی از جدایی، مرحله امتناع از مدرسه رفتن، مرحله آشفتگی مرضی درونی و بالاخره مرحله احساس درد، تهوع و بهم خوردگی دل که البته اساس آن اختلال اضطراب جدایی است. کودکان مبتلا به اختلال اضطراب جدایی نسبت به جدایی از اوالدین یا دور شدن از خانه، اضطراب مفرط، ناتوان کننده و نامتناسب با سن خود را نشان می دهند. این گونه ترس ها ممکن است در کودکان به صورت احساس اضطراب مبهم بروز کند یا کودک هر شب کابوس ببیند که او را دزدیده اند، کشته شده است یا والدین او مرده اند.برای این کودکان دشوار است که به تنهایی در یک اتاق باشند، تنها بخوابند، خرید کنند و به مدرسه یا اردو بروند. کودکان مبتلا به این نوع اضطراب اغلب تمایل دارند در أغوش والدین شان باشند، آنها را سایه به سایه دنبال کنند و شب ها کنار آنها یا درست پشت در اتاق خواب آنها بخوابند. در کودکان بزرگ تر شکایت های جسمانی خاص یا اظهار ناراحتی عمومی در مدرسه متداول است و معمولا باعث می شود کودک به خانه بازگردانده شود. کودکان مبتلا هنگام جدایی از والدین خود بی تاب می شوند و به هر عذر و بهانه ای متوسل می شوند تا دوباره پیش پدر و مادرشان برگردند. عملکرد تحصیلی این دسته از کودکان به خاطر درخواست های مکرر برای خارج شدن از کلاس درس، نگرانی شان نسبت به جدایی از والدین و غیبت های مکرر از مدرسه پایین است. درواقع می توان گفت با توجه به این که اضطراب جدایی در 9 تا 18 ماهگی بهنجار است، اختلال اضطراب جدایی به این دلیل ایجاد می شود که کودک نتوانسته این مرحله رشدی را با موفقیت پشت سر بگذارد یا بر اثر استرس، به مراحل قبلی رشد برگشته است.

ویژگی های کودکان مدرسه هراس و شناخت علل این موضوع

شواهدی وجود دارد که نشان می دهند اختلال اضطراب جدایی می تواند پیش درآمدی برای اختلال وحشت زدگی یا هراس از مکان های باز در بزرگسالی باشد. بالا بودن شیوع اختلال اضطراب جدایی فرزندان مادرانی است که اختلال اضطرابی و افسردگی دارند و بالابودن شیوع آن بین خواهر و برادرهای کودکانی است که اختلال اضطراب جدایی دارند. همچنین محققان دریافته اند که کودکان مبتلا به این اختلال بشدت در معرض خطر ابتلا به هراس اجتماعی هستند که در آن وضعیت های اجتماعی (برای مثال معاشرت با غریبه ها، قرار گرفتن در موقعیت هایی که انسان را دستپاچه می کنند و…)، اضطراب زا می شوند. چنین به نظر می رسد که پسرانی که مادرانشان مریض هستند در برابر این اختلال آسیب پذیرتر از دیگرانند. ظاهرا آنها به گونه ای غیرعادی به مادرانشان متکی هستند و بیش از اندازه نگران حال آنها می باشند. در بسیاری موارد این کودکان، مستعد پاره ای ناراحتی های عاطفی هستند و هراس از مدرسه تنها یکی از اشکال متعددی است که حالت رکود و شکست را منعکس می کند. می توان گفت نشانه یا عارضه هراس از مدرسه گرچه فقط یکی از شیوه های بروز درد است گاه به اختلال رابطه میان یکی از والدین و کودک اشاره دارد.

ویژگی های کودکان که از مدرسه می ترسند:

– در محیط زندگی آنان تبعیض وجود دارد.

– سطح وابستگی به مادر در برخی از آنان شدید است.

– برخی از مادران از تیپ های سلطه جو بوده اند که سعی داشته اند کودک را در انحصار خود داشته باشند یا مادرانی مضطرب دارند.

– احتمالا والدینشان از آن دسته افرادی بوده اند که سعی داشته اند فرزندشان هرگز از خانه خارج نشود.

– اغلب این بچه ها ترسو و خجالتی هستند.

– اغلب تصور نادرستی از توانایی های خود بخصوص در مقایسه با دیگر بچه ها دارند.

– برخی از آنها در مدرسه و گاهی در خانه احساس تنهایی می کنند.

عواملی که ترس از مدرسه در کودکان را تشدید می کند:

– درگیری والدین در خانه که کودک را در زمانی که در مدرسه است دچار اضطراب و دلواپسی می کند.

– نقص جسمانی کودک.

– داشتن معلم سختگیر تا تنبیه در مدرسه.

– سختی و مقررات و ضوابط مدرسه.

– درگیری و کتک کاری با دیگر بچه ها در مدرسه.

– تولد فرزندی جدید و احساس ناکامی و محرومیت و سرخوردگی.

۱۵. قبل از پایان کلاس‌ها منتظرشان باشید
