قبل از هر اقدامی باید از علت بد رفتاری کودک آگاه شویم بعد اقدامی برای برخورد با این “چرا” صورت دهیم.
با توجه به جدول تربیتی سه سئوال از خود بپرسید:
1- این رفتار جزو کدام دسته از رفتارهاست؟
2- برای رسیدن به چه هدفی چنین رفتاری میکند؟
3- من باید چه تکنیکی را بکار ببرم؟
سپس:
1- از میان برداشتن وسوسه ها: اشیاء شکستنی را از دسترس کودکان دور نگه داریم، روی پریزهای برق را حفاظ بگذاریم.
2- پرت کردن حواس کودک: این امر در کودکان کم سال تر بسیار موثر است.
3- علامت دادن( کلامی و غیرکلامی) : اشارات کلامی را با فاعل من شروع کنید. اشارات غیرکلامی مانند اشاره دست، گذاشتن انگشت بر لب به نشانه ی سکوت و…
4- یادآور شدن: کودکان موجودات فراموشکاری هستند اغلب اوقات فقط با یادآوری میتوان رفتار کودک را تغییر داد.
5- گوشزد کردن: با استفاده از اخطار دادن مثلا: اگر یک بار دیگر این کار را بکنی…
6- نادیده گرفتن: با نادیده گرفتن مسائل جزیی و بی اهمیت انرژی مان را برای کارهای مهمتر حفظ کنیم.
7- تحسین کردن: تغییرات مثبت در کودکانتان را تشویق کنید هر چند آن تغییر جزیی باشد.
8- جبران خسارت: کودکی که شیرش را به زمین می ریزد او را وادار به تمیز کردن کنیم.
9- خویشتن داری و آرامش: کودک را به اتاق خودش بفرستیم تا آرامش پیدا کند البته این فرستادن به اتاق تنبیهی نباشد.
10- محدودیت: اگر کودک از امتیاز خود سوء استفاده کرده انتیازی را که به او داده شده محدود و یا کم کرد.
11- تامل و تعمق: از کودک بخواهیم فکر کند چه کاری می توانسته انجام دهد که این اتفاق نیفتد.
12- بیان خواسته: به جای طرح شکایت خواسته تان را مطرح کنید.
13- روش حل مسئله: این مهارت می تواند در برخورد با مسائل نظم آموزی بسیاری از مشکلات ما را برطرف نماید.
14- مجازات: هدف از مجازات این است که به بچه ها دیگر رفتارشان را تکرار نکنند و همچنین پیامد رفتارشان را تحمل نمایند. البته تحمل پیامد، اقدام آموزشی است و به کودک می آموزد چرا رفتارش خوب نبوده است.
