انسان بی هدف کاملا تابع حوادث و پیشامدهاست. کسی که هدف روشنی در زندگی دارد، پس از رسیدن به کامیابی احساس خوشبختی و آرامش میکند اما افرادی که اهدافی نامشخص را پی می گیرند، به هر مقامی که برسند باز هم ناراضی اند. هر یک از ما باید به یقین بدانیم که چه می خواهیم، چه هدفی را دنبال می کنیم و در انتظار چه نوع موفقیتی هستیم. شایدهدف ما موفقیت در تحصیلات دانشگاهی باشد و شاید هم موفقیت در ازدواج، کار و پرورش روح و جسم نیز ممکن است بخواهیم به علایق اجتماعی و فردی خویش سر و سامان بخشیم. در هر صورت، تشخیص هدف و آگاهی به آن پیش شرط هر گونه اقدامی است. افزون بر این، در تعیین اهداف خویش باید از تقلید کورکورانه بپرهیزیم. در صورت مقایسه خود با دیگران دو اشتباه بزرگ مرتکب می شویم:

1- ناخودآگاه با دیگران به رقابت برمیخیزیم، زیرا تحقق بخشیدن به خواسته و آرزویی مشخص نیست بلکه برتری طلبی و یا مثل کسی شدن است.

2- بدون توجه به توانایی ها، علایق و امکانات خود دنباله رو دیگران می شویم.

این دو اشتباه فرجام نامطلوبی دارد. پس چه باید کرد؟ باید پیش از هر چیز هدف خود را بهتر بشناسیم و سپس دست به عمل بزنیم.

شناخت هدف و مراحل آن:

برای شناخت بهتر اهداف خویش و نیز انتخابی آگاهانه از میان امکانات متعدد، کاغذی بردارید و در گوشه ای خلوت و آرام بنشینید و کلیه اهدافی را که در سر می پرورانید، در آن یادداشت کنید.پس از فراغت از این کار به مراحل سه گانه زیر بپردازید:

الف) تمرکز و تفکر

فکر غذای مغز و تفکر وجه تمایز انسان از حیوان است. هر یک از ما متاثر از افکاری هستیم که عادتا کنترلمان را در دست دارند. برای رهایی از افکار متضاد، باید همه تراوشات  ذهنی خویش را به مغز بسپاریم تا در فرصت مناسب آنها را مورد مطالعه قرار دهد. سپردن اندیشه ها و آرزوها به مغز و ایجاد فرصت لازم برای بررسی یکایک آنها امروزه بین همه کسانی که به نیروی شگفت انگیز مغز آگاهند متداول است. شما هم این شیوه را در پیش گیرید تا نتیجه خارق العاده آن را دریابید. اندیشه انسان آفریننده است و افکار خلاق در ذهن او جاری اند. برای آنکه از این افکار در جهتی درست بهره گیریم، باید آنها را آزادانه به ضمیر ناخودآگاه خویش بسپاریم و پس از بررسیهای لازم، فکر پویا  و مثبت را از لابلای افکار متفاوت خارج سازیم. به قول امرسون: هر انسانی حاصل تفکرات روزانه خویش است.

به این ترتیب برای رهایی از تردید باید از مغز خود کمک بگیریم و توصیه های آن را  فراراه خویش قرار دهیم و سرانجام این گفته پاسکال: اندیشه و تفکر پشتوانه ای  بزرگ در سراسر حیات بشر است و انسان بی اندیشه و تفکر به ماده ای بی روح می ماند. یادآور می شویم. شناخت ضمیرناخودآگاه یا ضمیر باطن خود مستلزم مبحثی جداگانه است . در اینجا موضوع بیشتر بر سر انتخاب اهداف صحیحی از میان دهها هدف متفاوت است که باید با بررسی و دقت فراوان صورت گیرد. فقط در اینصورت است که درهای سعادت و خوشبختی به رویمان گشوده می شود.

ب) مطالعه

پس از تمرکز و بررسی اهداف نوبت به مطالعه می رسد. امروزه در مغرب زمین مطالعه امری بسیار متداول است، به این ترتیب که پیش از هر کاری ابتدا با صرف سرمایه ای گزاف هدف مربوطه را مورد بررسی قرار می دهند. همچنین کار مورد را با انواع کارهای موجود در بازار قیاس کرده و با خواندن کتابهای متعدد و مشورت با کارشناسان طراز اول ابعاد موضوع را به طور دقیق می سنجند. البته در این راستا امکانات خود را برای دستیابی به اهداف تعیین شده مد نظر قرار می دهند. بزرگی و کوچکی هدف و اینکه آیا مورد پسند  دیگران واقع می شود یا خیر، اهمیتی ندارد. مهم نفس هدف و نحوه بخشیدن آن است که باید با مطالعه جدی ، دقیق و حتی وسواس گونه همراه باشد. نیچه می گوید: ضمن مطالعه سعی کنید همچون صیادی چیره دست به صید افکار خوب بروید و افکار کهنه و پوسیده را یکسره به دور اندازید.  خواندن افکار و سرگذشت بزرگان به ما در روند دستیابی به هدف صحیح یاری می رساند. با مطالعه دقیق  و تعمق بر زندگی اندیشمندان و نیز با تکیه بر تجربیات آنها خود را بهتر می شناسیم و به علایق توانی ها  و قدرت درون خویش بیشتر آگاه می شویم. با روش الگو برداری و مدل سازی در وقت و پول شما نیز صرفه جویی می شود، به طوری که بعدها با آگاهی در مسیری قدم می گذارید که دیگران آن را به خطا رفته اند و برایش خسارت پرداخته اند و سرانجام مطالعه پل ارتباط دهنده مغزهاست.  به واسطه ی بررسی و مطالعه است که می توانیم در انتخاب هدف به خود یاری رسانیم.

ج) مشاوره

مشاوره عاملی موثر و یاری دهنده در مسیر پیروزی و موفقیت است. در این زمینه بزرگان و نوابغ شواهدی آورده اند که استفاده از آنها می تواند راهگشای ما در جهت رسیدن به اهداف باشد.

_ در صورت علاقه، برای تحقق آنها از قابلیت و استعداد لازم برخوردارم؟
